Life happens and things come up! Sometimes our Volunteer Puppy Raisers are unable to keep the puppy they initially intended to raise from 8 weeks until we called the puppy in for formal training at approximately a year and a half. When this happens the pup is brought back to Freedom Guide Dogs and we look for volunteer raisers to “finish” training the pup until they are called back to us for Guide Dog Training. 

Finishing Raisers are perfect for people who would like to raise a puppy for Freedom without having to deal with the “Puppy stage” of housebreaking and teething.
